A menswear house working in a narrow range of materials and a small number of shapes. Suede loafers and mules. Linen. Knitwear. Outerwear cut close enough for town.

The collection is built to be worn together, and to keep working when the season turns.

Quiet luxury, lasting quality.

No visible branding. No detail that dates a piece to the year it was bought. A silhouette that has not changed in some time and is not scheduled to.

The intention is a wardrobe that holds its line for a decade rather than a season.

Few shapes, repeated. A silhouette enters the collection when it earns its place and stays until it stops working.

Colour moves with the season. The cut does not. Most pieces are made to be bought twice.

Suede and linen carry the house. Both are natural materials that change with wear.

Suede softens and takes on a nap of its own. Linen creases and relaxes. Slight variation in tone, grain and texture is characteristic of both, and is the reason each was chosen rather than a fault in it.

• Treat with a suede protector before first wear, holding the can roughly 30 cm from the surface.
• Brush with a suede brush in one direction to lift the nap.
• Let mud dry completely, then brush it out. Do not work at it wet.
• Blot water, never rub.
• Dry at room temperature, away from radiators, heaters and direct sun.
• Use shoe trees to hold the shape between wears.
• Store in a breathable dust bag. Never in plastic.

Water marks, scuffs and a darker tone across the flex points are normal in worn suede and can usually be lifted with a brush.

• Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
• Condition occasionally with a neutral cream. Test on a hidden area first.
• If it gets wet, dry naturally and away from heat.
• Keep away from perfume, alcohol and prolonged sun.
• Store in a dust bag.

Rotate rather than wearing the same pair on consecutive days. A day's rest does more for the life of a shoe than any product.

• Machine wash cold, up to 30°C, on a gentle cycle.
• Mild detergent. No bleach.
• Wash with similar colours.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Line dry.
• Iron slightly damp on a medium setting if a crisper finish is wanted.
• Hang to store.

Linen softens with every wash. Creasing is characteristic of the cloth rather than a sign it needs pressing.

• Hand wash, or use a wool cycle at 30°C maximum.
• Use a detergent made for wool or cashmere.
• Never wring or twist.
• Dry flat on a clean towel and reshape while damp.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Fold to store. Hanging stretches the shoulders out.

Light pilling is normal on soft knitwear and is not a defect. Remove it with a cashmere comb or a fabric shaver. Rest a piece for a day or two between wears and it will hold its shape far longer.

• Wash inside out, cold to 30°C, gentle cycle.
• Mild detergent. No bleach.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Air dry flat or on a hanger.
• Iron inside out on a low to medium setting.
• Wash away from zips and rough fabrics.

Construction varies more in outerwear than in anything else, so the label on the piece takes priority over everything here.

• Spot clean marks with a damp cloth rather than washing the whole garment.
• If the label allows washing, use a cold gentle cycle and mild detergent.
• No fabric softener. It clogs coated and water-resistant finishes.
• Air dry. Do not tumble dry unless the label permits it.
• Do not iron directly onto waxed, coated or technical surfaces.
• Store on a broad-shouldered hanger.

• Clean lenses with the microfibre cloth supplied. A shirt tail scratches them.
• Rinse salt water and sun cream off with fresh water, then dry.
• Store frames in the case, lenses facing up.
• Do not rest frames face down on the lenses.
• Keep leather bracelets clear of prolonged water, perfume and alcohol.
• Remove metal and leather pieces before swimming.
